Safety, the nutrient of the joints.

When I am safe, I am able to relax. When I am safe, I feel at peace. When I am safe, I can skip along with a light step. When I am safe and secure, I feel happy and tranquil. Safety is the nutrient of the joints.
If you did not have joints that enabled your body to move, your body would be a rigid immobile hulk. Joints hold our bones together securely and make movement between the bones possible. Every bone in the body, except one, connects to at least one other bone. The one exception is the hyoid bone in the neck. The hyoid bone is the anchor for our tongue.
The flexibility and ease the joints give our bodies is amazing. When our joints don’t have the ability of free movement, we are less able to move quickly and easily. Joint problems can severely limit the ease and freedom people enjoy in their environment.
We think nothing of leaving the house and jumping in our car to go to work, to go on vacations and to keep our appointments. However for someone who has deteriorating joints these simple tasks of life become big tasks as they struggle to even put on their own socks and shoes. So the old saying “You don’t know what you got till it’s gone” is very appropriate here.
When we are in a safe environment, movement in and around and through life is easy. When we are threatened and fearful, movement in and around and through life becomes hesitant and halting.
The book, Health Is In the Spirit, tells us that our bones and skeletal system reflect our quality of life. We can easily see that when safety is not present, our quality of life suffers. Freedom of movement is hampered. We can also see how this correlates to the functioning of our bones and joints.
Not feeling safe?
Then make a decision to change your environment through taking positive steps toward eliminating fears that can bind us to a life of restricted movement.
